The Gund Co. acquires Vanderveer Industrial Plastics
California-based composites and plastics fabricator will advance The Gund Co.’s access to highly engineered thermoplastics in high-tech industries.

. (St. Louis, Mo., U.S.), a manufacturer and fabricator of engineered material solutions, announces the acquisition of (VIP, Placentia, Calif., U.S.). This acquisition expands the fabrication capabilities and range of material offerings of The Gund Co. significantly.
“We are excited about the potential to serve our existing customers with the high-precision fabrication capabilities that VIP can offer,” Steve Gund, president, The Gund Co., says. “Additionally, their access to highly engineered thermoplastics will further enhance our extensive product portfolio.”
The VIP production facility in California will continue to serve the high-tech sectors of aerospace, renewable energy and semiconductors, while using The Gund Co.’s expanded composite manufacturing and fabrication capabilities throughout North America. “Vanderveer has some unique capabilities for this industry. There’s a reason they are a leader in the markets they serve,” notes Mike Moran, VP of business development, The Gund Co.
Vanderveer Industrial Plastics operates a 29,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art machining operation, complete with the latest CNC fabrication and inspection equipment technology. VIP has expertise in composites and engineered thermoplastic fabrication. Operating within a productive, healthy environment, its knowledgeable and experienced machinists have paved the way for producing complex precision machined plastic components and assemblies to satisfy various industries.
