HP-RTM in Automotive and Aviation

September 24, 2025 |

In recent years, the benefits of the technology have become more and more interesting to the automotive industry and applications in aviation.

High-pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM) has been established in the automotive industry as technology for manufacturing of high-performance lightweight composites parts made out of fiber textiles embedded in epoxy resin, bringing down weight but maintaining mechanical properties at the same time, compared to steel or aluminum structures.

In recent years, the benefits of the technology have become more and more interesting to the automotive industry and applications in aviation.

Agenda:

  • What is HP-RTM: how does it work and what are the key elements of the process chain?
  • Applications in the automotive industry: what can HP-RTM do?
  • Outlook: huge potential for aerospace applications
