Meet the Team Behind ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ Media
Jeff Sloan is the brand vice president for ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ and Plastics Technology brands, responsible for the overall media brand, including sales, marketing and editorial content.
Prior to this, Jeff was editor-in-chief of ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ from 2006 to 2023 and directed and managed all editorial content for all of the brand’s products, including printed magazine, digital content, newsletters, videos and podcasts. Jeff is a member of SAMPE and has appeared as a speaker at SAMPE conferences and CAMX as well as Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) meetings. He was co-chair of the Carbon Fiber 2020 conference.
Prior to joining ÂÌñÏׯÞ, Jeff worked for 10 years as editor and then publisher of Injection Molding, Modern Plastics and Plastics Machinery & Auxiliaries magazines. Jeff has also worked as a technical writer, and is a 1990 graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in technical journalism.
Scott Francis is the editor-in-chief of ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ and media brands, properties of Gardner Business Media. He has also edited for the , , media brands and has authored books on a range of topics.
Scott has a bachelor’s degree in writing and editing and a minor in biology from .
Ginger Gardiner, Senior Technical Editor at ÂÌñÏׯÞ, began writing for the magazine in 2006 and was hired as Senior Editor in 2013. She is a co-author of the textbook . Ginger has a degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University and began her career in technical marketing at DuPont’s Composites Division for KEVLAR and NOMEX products in aerospace and marine structures.
Hannah Mason is a Technical Editor at , where she has reported about composites manufacturing for ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ since 2018.
In her current role she covers both the composites industry for CW and sustainability in manufacturing across Gardner’s trade media brands.
She earned a Masters of Arts in professional writing from the and a B.A. in writing from .
Grace joined ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ in 2020. As the brand’s senior managing editor, she manages all press coverage and communications, monthly print/digital issue production and occasionally writes original content.
She has a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Jenn Cammel is the Content Marketer for Gardner Business Media’s Composites World and Products Finishing brands. Originally from Canton, Ohio, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism. She joined Gardner Business Media in November 2022 and has assisted several brands as well as the Custom Content team.
