(Mönchengladbach, Germany), a manufacturer of test equipment for fibers, yarns and rovings, is featuring ROVINGTEST, which measures the most important properties of rovings all at once. ROVINGTEST can be used to characterize all yarns and rovings made from carbon and glass fibers. One of the parameters assessed by ROVINGTEST are the friction properties of rovings to metal or ceramics, and the existence or generation of broken filaments, e.g., due to contact with surfaces. Moreover, the friction from roving to roving can be measured, which is an important parameter for simulating draping and forming processes. Spreading behavior and homogeneity of filament orientation can also be measured, which is particularly important in the production of organosheets and tapes. Booth B52.
