Zünd America (Oak Creek, Wis., U.S.) is showcasing digital cutting solutions engineered specifically for composites and advanced materials. Attendees can discover how Zünd simplifies job preparation, cutting and kitting —maximizing efficiency, minimizing waste and boosting productivity across demanding production environments.

This simplification process begins with intelligent cut file preparation, where advanced nesting capabilities optimize material use. Irregular shapes, flaws or defects in the material are detected and accounted for, enabling clean, efficient layouts that minimize waste and rework, even with complex or variable materials.

Zünd’s solutions also support data-driven workflows that enhance traceability and process control. Job metadata is preserved throughout production and can be output via inkjet, label printer or other marking methods, ensuring each part is clearly identified and traceability and transparency are maintained from start to finish.

To further streamline parts removal and sorting, Zünd integrates projection-based picking and sorting guidance. This system visually indicates to operators which parts to remove — minimizing errors, increasing throughput and freeing up skilled labor for more value-added tasks. These intelligent workflows reduce reliance on manual verification and support consistent quality control.

In fully or semi-automated production environments, Zünd enables highly efficient cutting and kitting, where precision, repeatability and speed are essential. Whether in aerospace, transportation, marine or other advanced manufacturing sectors, Zünd systems shorten lead times, reduce material waste and lower overall production costs.

In addition, Loop Technology (Dorchester, Bristol and Sheffield in U.K.) and Zünd highlight FibreLine, a collaboratively developed high-speed preform system that unites Loop’s material handling with Zünd’s digital cutting speed and precision. This includes incorporation of Zünd’s Aero Q-Line, the company’s largest automated cutting platform purpose-built for aerospace and industrial applications. The result is a fully integrated solution for large-format composite processing. Representatives from both companies are available.
