JEC World 2019 preview: Biteam
Biteam (Stockholm, Sweden, 5/B61) is featuring a range of carbon fiber 3D noodles or preforms to fill the deltoid or triangular cavity created when two oppositely curving laminates are laid next to each other in composites fabrication.
Biteam AB (Stockholm, Sweden, 5/B61) is featuring a range of carbon fiber 3D noodles or preforms to fill the deltoid or triangular cavity created when two oppositely curving laminates are laid next to each other in composites fabrication. Biteam says current solutions, like the use of rolled fibers, braids and cut reinforcements are inadequate for stabilizing the structure and preventing accumulation of unreinforced resin. Biteam’s new dry 3D noodle/filler preforms can be customized according to application needs and offer the advantages of stable cavity-matching shape, good fit, delamination resistance, non-fraying and adaptability for different constructions, like curving.
