Chomarat (Williamston, S.C., U.S.) is featuring its range of carbon fiber reinforcements in several parts, including a rocket fairing mold, a kayak paddle and a flat panel. These will be on display in the demonstration area of Composites One, a partner of Chomarat. For the rocket fairing mold, the kayak paddle and the flat panel applications, Chomarat’s C-Weave reinforcement offers a excellent visual appearance and structural performance. The kayak paddle also uses another reinforcement: G-flow, a two-in-one reinforcement for infusion. Skateboards on display demonstrate the potential for high-volume production with Rovicore, a glass sandwich reinforcement created by Chomarat.
In a tennis racket on display, Chomarat highlights C-PLY, the multaxial carbon fiber reinforcement in which multiple layers of unidirectional fibers are placed at specific angles. This reinforcement allows various constructions: thin carbon plies (50 gsm), shallow angles, unbalanced orientations, IM fiber and toughening light veil options. Booth U14.
