North Coast signs composites supply agreement with top tier aerospace company
North Coast Composites, Tool & Mold has secured a $99 million 10-year long term agreement to supply a commercial aircraft program with composite parts.
North Coast Composites, Tool & Mold, (Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.) a Unitech Aerospace company and maker of tools and molds and fabricator of composite products specializing in Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), announced Jan. 30 that they have secured a $99 million 10-year long term agreement with a top tier aerospace company to supply a commercial aircraft program with composite parts. The contract calls for North Coast to manufacture the production mold tooling and the production ancillary tooling in 2019 and move into production initially in late 2019 and through at least 2029.
“With a decade of experience working on complex RTM air-direction and acoustic liner systems for several aerospace manufacturers, the team at North Coast has established themselves as a valuable partner with their exceptional performance in quality and delivery,” says Wayne Exton, CEO of Unitech Aerospace. “We look forward to this new addition to our portfolio and are prepared for the growth it will create within the business.”
