During the Supplier Conference held in Xi’an, China, in late March 2025, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC, Shanghai) presented (Ried im Innkreis, Austria) with a Supplier of the Year Award.
Through this recognition, the Chinese aircraft manufacturer honored the successful ramp-up of component production throughout 2024. Until 2023, all components for COMAC’s twin-engine passenger aircraft have been produced at FACC’s headquarter in Austria. With the successful transition of components to FACC’s manufacturing partner, FACC has achieved its delivery target and is further strengthening its global manufacturing footprint.
“This award reflects the work of our dedicated teams in Austria and China. We are thankful for their commitment and look forward to continuing our successful partnership with COMAC on the C909 and C919 program,” says FACC CEO Robert Machtlinger.
FACC has been a development and manufacturing partner of COMAC for more than 20 years, starting with the development and production of key components for the COMAC ARJ21 (later renamed as C909) in 2004. FACC is responsible for the design, production, qualification and certification of the C909 aircraft interior. In the C919 program, FACC is manufacturing the passenger cabin with cockpit panels, the reception and service area at the rear of the aircraft as well as the spoilers and winglets.
This year, FACC has also received the Aero Excellence Award in bronze, and was recognized with another Supplier Award through Embraer.
