DH Sutherland, Toray Composite Materials America to support Boeing aftermarket aircraft
The global distribution partnership is designed to rapidly supply TCMA materials to commercial airlines and MRO customers.

DH Sutherland (Beaverton, Ore., U.S.) and Toray Composite Materials America (TCMA, Tacoma, Wash., U.S.) announced on June 2 a global distribution partnership to support Boeing aftermarket aircraft, including materials qualified to Boeing’s BMS8-276.
The partnership is designed to rapidly supply less than minimum order quantities (MOQ) of TCMA materials to commercial airlines and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) customers. DH Sutherland’s IS07 certified cleanroom, which has been audited by TCMA’s quality team, will be used to support conversion of prepreg, ensuring the product meets the same quality standards as material directly from TCMA.
“DH Sutherland is excited to begin this partnership with TCMA,” says Steve Groshong, vice president of technical sales at DH Sutherland. “With DH Sutherland’s expertise on Aerospace Structural applications, the partnership with TCMA will enable us to bring a critical element of carbon fiber construction to our customer partners supporting commercial airlines globally.”
“DH Sutherland’s commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience will bring needed support to the commercial airlines and MRO facility’s supply chain who need less than MOQ quantities, many times in a compressed timeframe,” adds Don Myers, TCMA director of sales in the Americas.
