Chromaflo Technologies to build new facility in Malaysia
The company plans to build a new pigment dispersion manufacturing facility and regional head office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Chromaflo Technologies (Ashtabula, Ohio, US), global supplier of colorant systems, chemical and pigment dispersions, announced on Dec. 11 plans to build a new pigment dispersion manufacturing facility in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia.
The 70,000 ft2 factory and warehouse and 8,000 ft2 office will support customers in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region. The facility will leverage the manufacturing of a full range of water-based colorants, including those based on Chromaflo’s low VOC technology, solvent-based colorants and 100% solids colorants. These technologies will support a broad range of end segments including architectural coatings, industrial and high performance coatings, wood finishes, concrete protection, ink, latex, adhesives, caulks and sealants, gel coats and various thermoset plastics applications.
The target timeline for the facility is to produce trial batches in early January 2019 with full production soon there after.
