Boeing 777X debut may face delays

Recent news reports have said that this week’s debut of the Boeing 777X jetliner has been postponed.

According to recent news reports  and FlightGlobal, the debut flight test of the Boeing 777X jetliner has been postponed after the crash of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 passenger aircraft operated by Ethiopian Airlines on March 10.

Boeing  that the 777X would debut on Wednesday, March 13. The company has not officially announced a reschedule of the launch.

The 777X, called by Boeing “the largest and most efficient twin-engine jet in the world,” features all-carbon fiber composite wings, as covered previously by CW when Boeing began production of the aircraft.
