The (HAM, Atlanta, Ga., U.S.) business unit of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), a business that is part of the J.M. Huber Corp. portfolio of businesses, has announced a global price increase dependent on product or as contracts allow, effective Jan. 1, 2026. HAM manufactures high-quality and purity, halogen-free fire retardant additives for composite resin systems, in addition to smoke suppressants, thermal management solutions, specialty aluminum oxides, and organic matting agents and carriers.

According to the company, these price increases are necessary to partially offset the impact of recently implemented U.S. tariffs on imported aluminum hydroxide (ATH) feedstock and additional inflationary pressures from raw materials, regulatory compliance, labor and (ocean) freight cost.

In North America, these tariffs have not only raised the cost of imported feedstock and finished products but have also contributed to higher domestic costs across the supply chain. These factors make price adjustments necessary.

HAM remains committed to actively managing these challenges and minimizing the impacts on our customers wherever possible.
