Version 5.2 of Anaglyph Ltd.’s (London, U.K.) Laminate Tools software application has been released, bringing additional features and capabilities to tailor the pre- and post-processing of composite structures. It is used by composite designers and stress analysts in automotive, aerospace, marine, energy and leisure end markets.
Features added to this version include:
- Nesting feature with several customizable parameters
- “Undo/Redo” for materials, sets and offsets
- Importing PCOMPP/PLY/DRAPE/STACK from .fem files
- A Laminate Stack view showing the stack profiles across the entire laminate
- GUI features for model rotation modes, realistic cross-sections joining, toolbars
A more comprehensive list of these enhancements can be .
Laminate Tools is a standalone Windows application that addresses the entire Geometry Import-Design-Analysis-Check-Manufacture process of composites structural design. It links the various disciplines and communicates original data between all involved in the process. Laminate Tools offers unmatched value for money for pre- and post-processing of composite structures. It interfaces with most CAD and FEA applications, enabling a flexible workflow.
