Sigmatex and Hypetex launch colored carbon fiber solutions

Sigmatex (Runcorn, Chesire, U.K.), a manufacturer of carbon fiber textiles to the composites industry, announced on May 14 its partnership with (Fitzrovia, London, U.K.), developers of carbon fiber colorization technologies. The partnership, which applies Hypetex’s colored technology to Sigmatex’s sigmaDesign fabric designs, will provide colored carbon fiber solutions to the composites industry.
Adopted by automotive, leisure and aerospace companies, Sigmatex’s sigmaDesign service provides custom weave patterns for cosmetic and performance-based applications. The goal is to offer the added visual benefit from the Hypetex’s cosmetic carbon fiber while maintaining the quality and performance of the fabric. This opportunity, notes Steve Powell, commercial manager at Sigmatex, is expected to enhance the sigmaDesign product.
The partnership’s aim is to bring together two key companies within the UK’s composite supply chain to enhance and strengthen their offerings to the global marketplace. Visit to learn more about these fabrics.
