Scott Bader acquires Summit Composites Pty Ltd
Newly formed Scott Bader Australia Pty Ltd. will continue distributing Scott Bader resins, gel coats and adhesives to the Australian market.
On June 26, Scott Bader Co. Ltd. (Wellingborough, U.K.) announced that it has acquired the assets of Summit Composites Pty. Ltd., forming a new division Scott Bader Australia Pty. Ltd.
Scott Bader says that Summit Composites has been distributing its high-performance resins, gel coats and adhesives to the Australian market for more than 10 years. The company says that this acquisition aligns with Scott Bader’s objective of establishing a long-term presence in the Australian composites market.
The companies have worked closely together in recent months to prepare for the acquisition, and members of the existing Summit Composites team have accepted new positions at Scott Bader Australia Pty. Ltd. The company says that it hopes the transition will be seamless for its customers; all telephone and address details remain the same.
“We are delighted to be able to continue to build on the strong market position developed over many years by Summit Composites,” says Kevin Matthews, Scott Bader’s Group CEO. “We are looking forward to serving our highly valued customers and cementing a long-term sustainable presence in the Australian composites market.”
