PRF Composite Materials announces new unidirectional prepreg line
PRF’s new UD prepreg capability includes carbon materials from 80 to 600gsm, at standard widths of 300 mm and 600 mm.
PRF Composite Materials (Dorset, UK) has announced the installation of a new unidirectional (UD) prepreg line.
The new, state-of-the-art line has been installed at PRF’s head office and prepreg manufacturing facility and is supported by R&D chemists, with in house resin system development and extensive lab facilities equipped for mechanical testing, rheology, DMA and DSC. According to PRF, the new materials are fully compatible with the company’s range of woven prepregs.
PRF’s new UD prepreg capability includes carbon materials from 80 to 600gsm, at standard widths of 300 mm and 600 mm. The company says other widths are possible as well.
“Our woven prepreg materials continue to receive exceptional customer feedback and being able to provide a comprehensive range of high-quality UD materials allows PRF to complete our prepreg offering,” says PRF managing director Robert Burnell. “Doing things differently, PRF will continue to push boundaries and focus on innovative product development that enables our customers to get better results, faster and in a more cost-effective manner.”
