HRC invests in new serial production center in China
Developed for the manufacturing of advanced aeronautic composite parts, the production center will be equipped with technologies for both thermosetting- and thermoplastic-based composites.

It was announced on June 2 that composites solutions provider HRC (Shanghai, China) signed a new investment agreement with the local Chinese government to invest and establish a new serial production center for the manufacturing of advanced composite parts in Changshu, with the aim of further serving the aeronautic, railway and other target industries.
With a total registered capital of $33.8 million, it is said phase I of the new aeronautic center will have a production area of 20,000 square meters and will be equipped with a variety of manufacturing technologies for both thermosetting- and thermoplastic-based composites, as well as assisting functional areas such as QS inspection, assembly and packaging and more.
According to HRC, during the past five years of business practice the company has successfully achieved its primary intention with the automotive industry, including its acknowledgment as one of the most professional and dedicated lightweight solution providers and becoming a designated carbon fiber part supplier of many well-known OEMs such as Volvo (Gothenburg, Sweden), Geely (Zheijiang, China) and FAW (Changchun, China).
Since the middle of 2018, HRC says it had started the development and production for aviation projects. In 2019, its new independent aeronautic business unit was founded, consisting of an international team of highly specialized and experienced experts with solid technological backgrounds. At the same time, HRC says, with the company’s strong international network and resources, as well as the ability to provide rare comprehensive services from engineering design to serial production, the production center will be swiftly put into formal operation with a high bar of standard and efficiency since the very beginning of its establishment.
