FIPA launches e-commerce to speed automation

FIPA Inc., manufacturer of advanced vacuum technology, gripper systems, air nippers and End-of-Arm-Tooling (EOAT), has introduced the FIPA Webshop, a comprehensive e-commerce platform. The platform, which integrates with the redesigned , is said to enable customers access to order histories, product availability and check pricing through a customizable dashboard.
According to FIPA, products ordered through the FIPA Webshop by 4 p.m. (CET) are processed and shipped the same day, and customers can use the personalized dashboard to keep track of recurring orders, create a ‘watch list’ for future product needs, re-order individual items, or save customer-specific part numbers. There is also a customer service callback feature to place customers in touch with FIPA’s worldwide sales network and application engineering team. The company also emphasizes data security as a top priority of the Webshop.
“Another important feature of the Webshop is that it enables our customers more efficient communications between their internal departments, as well as with FIPA support personnel,” says Rainer Mehrer, president of FIPA. “For example, a design engineer at a customer location can create a bill of materials list, or shopping cart, using the Webshop, and forward it to their purchasing department. Also, customers can import a list of required products, and download price lists as Excel or PDF documents.”
“The FIPA Webshop is the result of significant investment and extensive consultation with our customers to determine how best to serve their needs and make their ordering experience faster, easier, and more efficient,” adds Mehrer. “We focused on designing the Webshop to enable our customers to conveniently access all relevant information at a glance, and the ability to place an order with a few clicks from anywhere in the world. In addition, we will be adding further valuable features as we gather more customer feedback.”
