Colored carbon fiber composite bike wheels launched at The Cycle Show
Wheel brand Parcours reveals composite bike wheels using Hypetex colored carbon fiber to achieve aesthetic, lightweight and performance goals.

(London, U.K.) is debuting what it says are the world’s first set of colored carbon fiber composite bike wheels at , taking place April 21-23, 2023, at Alexandra Palace in London.
Developed in partnership with wheel brand (Paris, France), the Chrono carbon fiber wheels feature a gold finish made of Hypetex’s Zlatan unidirectional (UD) carbon fiber material and offer a highly aesthetic, lightweight and high-performance product compared to the traditional painted alternative, according to the company.
Hypetex’s sustainable coloring technology for advanced materials, such as carbon fiber, is a patented paint-replacing process that was born out of Formula 1 racing. Combining water-based eco-resins with a sustainable curing process, Hypetex materials are made with bold, colorful aesthetic as well as technical and cost-saving benefits.

Parcours itself seeks to offers high-performance, premium wheelsets that employs the latest advancements in aerodynamic technology. The Parcours X Hypetex gold wheels mentioned above were featured at The Cycle Show 2023 on a bespoke Handsling A1R0evo, which was nominated for the Jaw Droppers trophy — a competition for the industry’s most striking designs. The Hampshire-based carbon fiber composite bike frame manufacturer supplies to multiple professional cycling teams around the world.
Only 10 sets of the Parcours X Hypetex limited edition wheels will be available, with prices ranging from £1,799 to £2,499. Featuring the Hypetex gold, the premium sets will also include custom hubs in gunmetal gray, custom lasered detailing and ceramic bearings.
