BMComposites confirms second Linx 30 catamaran build
New order adds to the reliability of the foil-assisted, beach landing, carbon fiber superyacht tender, with a 40-foot Linx model and an electric version in the works.

(Palma de Mallorca, Spain), a boat builder specializing in the design and manufacture of carbon fiber composites, confirmed in April 2023 that it received a second order for a Linx 30 foil-assisted, beach landing catamaran tender, marking the second hull of this 30-foot model. It will be constructed using Gurit (Wattwil, Switzerland) Prime 37 infusion resin system, with the company’s Corecell marine SAN foam.
The Linx 30 is constructed with carbon fiber and uses a state-of-the-art foil-assisted catamaran hull configuration. The foil induces lift, which in turn works to reduce drag, improve seakeeping and thereby increases efficiency with a 40% improvement on fuel consumption. This main foil is fixed between the two hulls but does not extend below them, and twin trim tabs to aft provide the necessary down force to equalize the lift.
The first Linx 30 catamaran was hailed by its mothership superyacht crew and those who have had the opportunity to sea trial it, as offering exceptional stability and performance at high speed. Its beach landing ability enables it to be driven onto the shore and disembarked from the forward door in total safety.
“We are delighted to have received this second order for a Linx 30 — this goes a long way to cementing Linx Tenders’ position in superyacht tender and luxury leisure craft market, and we’re excited to build more of these cats,” Mark Branagh, managing director at BMComposites, notes. “We are working on several other inquiries at the moment, including one for a larger Linx 40 model, and an electric version.”
Linx Tenders are designed by engineer Bravo Yacht Design (Barcelona) and built by BMComposites in Palma de Mallorca. These full-custom catamarans make ideal superyacht tenders and chase boats thanks to their stability, versatility, performance capability and distinct design attributes.
The Linx 30 will have a 42-knot top speed and a minimum range of 230 nautical miles at its 25-knot cruising speed.
