Vestas looks for workers to build blades in Colorado
Vestas Blades America Inc., maker of high-tech wind power systems, is beginning its search for more than 400 workers to staff the wind turbine blade factory it is building in Windsor, Colo., north of Denver.
Vestas Blades America Inc., maker of high-tech wind power systems, is beginning its search for more than 400 workers to staff the wind turbine blade factory it is building in Windsor, Colo., north of Denver.
The facility, which is scheduled to be open next year, is expected to produce about 1,200 wind turbine blades per year. Vestas has teamed up with SOS Staffing Solutions to help recruit staff members. All positions, from the core management team to hourly production positions, are being filled. All jobs are direct hire, full-time, with benefits.
The company’s new $60 million, 200,000-ft2 wind turbine blade manufacturing plant will be in the Great Western Industrial Park on the east side of Windsor. It is the first North American plant built by the Danish firm and is expected to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information, call Vestas at 970-674-6100.
