Machine tooling manufacturer Nikken Kosakusho Europe Ltd. (Rotherham, U.K.) has introduced the X-Treme line of milling chucks, designed specifically for aerospace applications. It features a redesigned needle roller configuration for good gripping force torque, is said to out-performs similar products and has 5μm run-out accuracy at 3 x D. Other features include clamping at the nose, a face sealing system with optional coolant supply grooves, a cutter security system and constant stable milling.
