Ultraviolet (UV) LED coatings for composite materials offer manufacturing flexibility for coating needs.  (Macomb, Mich., U.S.), an expert in this space, teams up with process partners and qualified UV systems integrators to offer seamless UV coating solutions that deliver on faster production (due to instant cure), small equipment footprint, reduced energy costs (LED lights), reduced environmental impact (no emissions, VOCs or HAPs and ROHS compliant) and address tailored process requirements.

Allied UV’s solutions drive process efficiencies with a focus on workplace safety and delivering improved return on investment (ROI). The company has developed a pre-production and post-production checklist to ensure its technologies meet customer needs and to ensure a successful project:

Pre-Production:

  • Education is key (UVUniversity, website, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Works closely with end customer, UV systems integrator and UV tech companies
  • Identifies process specification and needs (such as corrosion, adhesion, thickness requirements)
  • Discusses ROI and VOC reduction to ensure the solution makes economic/environmental sense
  • Partners with qualified UV systems integrators
  • Recommends defined practices between customer and UV integrator.

Post-Production

  • Performs quality certification procedures
  • Provides personal protection equipment recommendations
  • Supports with on-site and multi-shift EHS safety training
  • Provides on-site start-up assistance
  • Offers quarterly service visits to maintain a customer’s UV system
  • Monitors ROI, cost savings and overall benefits of a customer’s UV solution
  • Continues EHS/customer audits and reports via ongoing service and support.

Allied UV aims to empower U.S. manufacturing entities with its focus on durability, aesthetic appeal and sustainable practices.
