(Givry, Burgundy, France) highlights updates and new developments to its E-Learning Composites Academy platform, which supports flexible industry learning. This includes the launch of a new format, course and series, particularly in an effort to accommodate a broader audience.
Composites Expert is rolling out the Micro-Learning format, prepared and presented as a series, , focusing on composite materials. It is designed to be modern and flexible and fun, enabling users to acquire new knowledge while remaining interactive. Aimed at a very broad target audience, the format will be easy to access, particularly on mobile phones, tablets and computers. Composites Expert says it will be clear, engaging, progressive, rich in animation, cost-effective, easy to adapt and, above all, easy to understand. The content is hosted directly on the platform.
The subscription-based Micro-Learning course targets working professionals, industrial, academics with specific context for students, training managers, HR directors, companies, new employees and more — generally those who want to discover or deepen their knowledge of composite materials. Its concise learning format fits easily into daily routines and aims to meet the needs of a varied audience looking to save time by concentrating on the essential elements of composite materials.
Every year, a new season with new episodes will be added to the Composite Inside series. The first season, available with 10 episodes, invites subscribers to an interactive phase at the end of each episode to validate their knowledge. The format is compact and approximately 8 minutes long.
Content will initially be available in French, English and Portuguese, with other languages to follow by the end of 2025. According to Composites Expert, Portuguese meets a constant demand from the Brazilian market, which has a keen emphasis on training and strives to acquire new knowledge and skills. G12 Innovation will support the training organization in rolling out the series in Brazil.
The E-Learning Composites Academy continues to develop comprehensive, highly specialized training courses on transformation processes. Composites Expert notes, however, that its learning materials are aimed at two distinct concepts. Micro-Learning mentioned above targets a different audience that that of its more specific training courses.
Training courses on thermoset and thermoplastic composite materials, for example, supported by tutors and teaching tools (boxes for practical exercises, software, simulators, sample libraries and so on), meet the needs of industrial teams wishing to gain a deeper understanding and mastery of transformation processes. These tools deal with cutting-edge concepts but simplify them to make them easier to understand and transpose into the professional and industrial environment.
Micro-Learning, on the other hand, is designed to enable a wide audience to discover and deepen their knowledge in this field. Its aim is to provide a solid foundation for moving forward in the world of composite materials and accessing more advanced training courses tailored to one’s needs, such as those already offered by one’s organization. The learning format will enable subscribers to quickly understand, assimilate and apply knowledge on a well-defined subject, when they might not originally have access to sufficient information to understand the technical aspects and processes of composites.
