(Johannesburg, South Africa), a manufacturer of glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) products, has launched its EnviraBar rebar product range in South Africa, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional steel rebar.
Manufactured at GFRP Tech’s new state-of-the-art facility in Linbro Park, Johannesburg, EnviraBar consists of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers and aims to replace traditional steel rebar in construction projects.
Unlike steel, EnviraBar is reported to be immune to corrosion and boasts higher tensile strength, ensuring long-term structural integrity while reducing maintenance needs. EnviraBar further reduces the risk of environmental contamination.
