Corebon (Malmö, Sweden) is introducing a production setup that is designed to transform thermoplastic composites (TPC) manufacturing. The turnkey solution enables the production of high-quality parts using one-sided tools with up to 12 bar of applied pressure — eliminating the need for bulky autoclaves or high-tonnage presses. With a cycle time of less than five minutes, the compact system delivers high efficiency while maintaining optimal quality.
The system leverages Corebon’s induction heating and pressure application technology, enabling rapid and precise thermal cycling. A heat rate of up to 150°C/min and a maximum temperature of 250°C enable manufacturers to process TPC with high speed and consistency.
The system features a pressure vessel, designed with fully automated opening and closing, achieving efficient operation within compact dimensions suitable for high-volume production environments.
“By eliminating traditional autoclaves and presses, we provide an automated, energy-efficient solution ready for mass production,” emphasizes Ola Olsson, CEO of Corebon. “Hours become minutes, while maintaining autoclave quality.”
This standalone system also incorporates rapid cooling, ensuring fast turnaround and repeatable processing. Compatibility with steel, nickel and aluminum molds further enhances its versatility, making it an ideal choice for industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to consumer goods and industrial applications.
