CDI Energy Products announces new president

On Sept. 7  (Houston, Texas, U.S.), a high-performance polymer components manufacturer, announced that Clinton Metcalf has been named president. Leonard Casey, who has been serving in a dual capacity as both the managing director of Advanced Sealing Technologies (AST, West Kingston, R.I., U.S.) and the president of the CDI Houston organization, will concentrate his energies on AST’s strategic objectives and business unit growth. CDI is one of the business units within the Advanced Sealing Technologies group inside Michelin’s High Tech Materials Division. As president, Metcalf will drive CDI’s Houston-based business and leverage collaborative growth opportunities for CDI’s full global footprint.

As a well-respected industry executive, Metcalf is reported to have deep functional experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, product management and business development. Metcalf has an extensive background in leading global organizations, manufacturing and lean principles, technical and product line organizations and customer relationship management. He was employed for more than 24 years with TechnipFMC (London, U.K.) in various roles most recently as the senior vice president for manufacturing. Metcalf’s previous positions within FMC included director of operations, Subsea, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; vice president and general manager Measurement Systems, Hamburg, Germany; and general manager, and FMC/CDS Separation Systems, Americas Region.

Metcalf received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business.

Massivit 3D appoints vice president of business development

(Lod, Israel) a provider of large-volume 3D printing solutions, has announced the appointment of Ben Arnold as the company’s global VP of business development. Arnold will join the Massivit 3D management team.

Arnold has been a veteran in the 3D printing industry since 2006. He has been part of several companies responsible for key industry innovations, including multi-material polymer printing, multi-laser metal printers, the evolution of powder-based metal printing and polymer-based composites. Ben brings his experience and insight to his role at Massivit 3D and will focus on expanding the company’s patented GDP and Cast in Motion technologies business.

KraussMaffei welcomes new regional sales manager

The KraussMaffei (Munich, Germany) extrusion team welcomes Sean Doran as its newest regional sales manager. His focus for the company will be the northern U.S. as well as Canada for extrusion systems.

Sean brings with him nearly 27 years of experience in plastics machinery and systems sales, with most of this in the extrusion vertical markets. He recently came from AEC and Sterling, where his focus was international sales, which included all of Europe, Mexico and South America.

Sean holds an associate degree in electrical engineering, a Bachelor in business with a major in marketing and an MBA in finance.

He brings a wealth of knowledge to the KraussMaffei team and they are excited to have him.
