Kaman Composites leverages composites expertise to expand medical imaging programs with Mirion Technologies
While known as a critical component supplier to the aerospace industry, the Vermont-based company is also recognized for its composite patient positioning components, structural cantilevered solutions and assembly in the medical field.

Kaman Composites – Vermont Inc. (Bennington, Vt., U.S.), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of (Bloomfield, Conn., U.S.), has expanded its medical imaging program through the recent new partnership with Mirion Technologies (Atlanta, Ga., U.S.), said to be a major medical equipment manufacturer. Kaman will be supplying surgical C-Arm tabletops to Mirion, with first deliveries set to begin in the second quarter of 2022.

Kaman Composites has more than 40 years of experience in the design and build of composite patient positioning components, structural cantilevered solutions and value-add assembly for all imaging modalities. In addition, Kaman provides electromechanical assembly, integrating the customer’s composite design into a complete manufacturing solution. Kaman Composites works with customers from concept to full-rate production using a highly qualified team of engineers to perform part design, finite element analysis (FEA), tooling design/build, prototype manufacture and qualification testing.
