HIVE Composites Limited (HIVE) is an ambitious, innovative SME committed to pushing the boundaries of composite material technology and driving sustainable, economic manufacturing across multiple industrial sectors.

HIVE offers a specialist commercial design, FEA, manufacturing system design and testing services for composite products to assist clients to utilise the full benefits of composite materials. HIVE’s top-level management have worked together within other composite design and development businesses, gaining unrivalled experience and knowledge of composite material technology across a wide range of industrial sectors, including aerospace, defence, infrastructure, automotive, energy and rail. Specialising in all aspects of composite research, design, development, testing and certification, HIVE staff have also led and been involved in cutting-edge projects across major UK and EC research programmes.

To host the growing team and their ambitious plans, HIVE has recently moved its operations to a state-of-the-art prototyping and testing centre in Wymeswold, Loughborough UK to support expansion of their internal product R&D, consultancy services and international standard certification services. This Centre of Excellence includes state-of-the-art filament winding equipment, hydrogen exposure facilities, mechanical test machines and bespoke test frames for testing thermoplastics tapes under constant tension loading, and general composite processing facilities.
