CAMX 2021 exhibit preview: Patcham
Patcham USA presents a range of specialty additives to augment the processability and properties of composite systems.
(Fairfield, N.J., U.S.) is a global manufacturer of specialty additives for composites, plastics, paints and coatings, inks and oilfield.
The company’s range of additives reportedly augment the processability and properties of composite systems, and provide excellent surface tension reduction for thermoset resins and composites, resulting in thorough fiber wetting with overall improvement in the properties of the finished product. This includes additive products for fiber wetting (applicable to all fiber reinforcements, but recommended for carbon fiber), air release, filler wetting and dispersing, rheology modification and a series of special accelerators.
Patcham also offers a range of wetting and dispersing additives for fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminum trihydroxide (ATH) in composite systems. These are said to provide exceptional wetting, long-term dispersion stability, consistent viscosity, anti-settling properties and enable higher filler loading.
Its range of colorless accelerators replace cobalt octoate. The resulting casting is completely clear and colorless, with no compromise on gel time or other parameters.
U.S. operations are handled by Patcham USA, the company’s U.S. technical service location. Products are available from five stock points across the country as well as in Canada and across Latin America.
