Ready for National Composites Week?

The first annual National Composites Week will take place Aug. 26-30, 2019, celebrating composites manufacturing, composites applications and the people and organizations that make it all happen.

Manufacturers from throughout the composites supply chain — raw material suppliers, convertors, designers, toolmakers, fabricators, educators, students — are encouraged to use social media, traditional media and in-person events to bring attention to their operations, capabilities and products. 

Participants are encouraged to host an open house, reach out to national and local media outlets or reach out to local schools and universities to draw attention to the value of composites and composites manufacturing.

Looking for inspiration? Each of the five days will also feature a theme that taps into the big-picture ways that composites are improving the world:

Monday, Aug. 26: Sustainability

Tuesday, Aug. 27: Improving lives

Wednesday, Aug. 28: Entertaining us

Thursday, Aug. 29: Protecting us

Friday, Aug. 30: Helping us explore

National Composites Week was organized and launched by braiding specialist A&P Technology (Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.), global advanced composites company Hexcel (Stamford, Conn., U.S.) and ÂÌñÏ×ÆÞ. (See “National Composites Week is born” for more on how this event got started.)
