(Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon, France) has grown its footprint in the U.S. with the acquisition of (Tacoma, Wash., U.S.) in late March 2025. The company, a manufacturer of plastic aircraft cabin interior parts and subassemblies and a Tier 1 supplier to Boeing, strengthens Demgy Group’s international footprint, in addition to its position as an aerospace supplier. Tool-Gauge will be renamed Demgy Pacific.
The purchase follows Demgy’s 2023 acquisition of Germany-based E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH, a thermoplastic and composite components producer for cabin interiors, and a major Airbus supplier.
Tool-Gauge possesses essential industrial know-how in plastic injection molding and the machining of high-performance materials. Tool-Gauge has been honored with Boeing’s Silver Performance Excellence Award for nine consecutive years (2010-2019) and is a longstanding Boeing D1-4426/BAC5321 Class I and II approved supplier. One of the company’s main pillars is its activities dedicated to the deployment of new products for aircraft interiors.
According to Pierre-Jean Leduc, CEO of Demgy Group and Demgy Pacific, while Demgy Atlantique France and Demgy EIS use continuous fiber reinforcement for its production, companies Demgy Pacific, Demgy Chicago, Demgy Normandie and Demgy Făgăraş uses a combination of unreinforced plastic parts/components as well as short carbon or glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastics.
“By reinforcing our leadership in high value-added plastics processing for the aerospace and defense industries, Demgy Group has become a leading supplier of plastic cabin interior parts directly to Airbus and Boeing, as well as to U.S. and European aircraft equipment manufacturers,” says Leduc. “At the same time, we have just signed major contracts with our main customers, which will certainly help us to optimize the benefits from the acquisition —meaning that we can look forward with confidence to taking over Tool-Gauge under the right conditions.”
Demgy Pacific strengthens the group’s position in the U.S with two workshops dedicated to injection molding of high-performance polymers for cabin interior parts, and metal machining for aircraft spare parts, which will also be dedicated to high-performance polymer machining.
Leading the new portion of the company will be Leduc as CEO; Mike Walter as president of Demgy Pacific and Demgy Chicago (its two U.S. operations); and Eric Wilmoth as Demgy Pacific’s VP of operations.
Demgy Group expects its sales to exceed €130 million by 2025 and is aiming for €200 million by 2030. It has 10 sites globally with a total workforce of 950 people.
