Radius Engineering workcell enables composite flare housings for F-35
New flare housing manufacturing facility will utilize RTM workcell from Radius Engineering to manufacture composite housings for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft’s countermeasure flares.

Quickstep Holdings Ltd. (Sydney, Australia) recently opened a new facility at its Bankstown, Australia site that will manufacture composite housings for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft’s countermeasure flares. As part of the project, an RTM manufacturing workcell from Radius Engineering Inc. (Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.) was installed at the facility. The workcell features a 100 ton press and resin injector fully integrated with Radius’ FloWare software.
