TPI Composites celebrates 100,000th wind blade milestone

The company has manufactured 100,000 composite blades over the last couple of decades, led by efforts to enable efficient and sustainable wind energy generation.

Composite wind blade manufacturer TPI Composites Inc. (TPI, Scottsdale, Ariz., U.S.) announced on Feb. 24 that it has reached the production of its 100,000th wind blade.

TPI has been making blades for the wind energy market since 2001. Over the last two decades, the company has focused on continuous innovation to meet the evolving needs of its customers and the industry.

TPI’s advanced manufacturing processes and global footprint have enabled it to play a key role in the expansion of wind energy across the globe. The company’s blades are used in wind turbines that generate clean electricity. 

TPI operates facilities in U.S., Mexico, Türkiye and India and operates additional engineering development centers in Denmark and Germany and global service training centers in the U.S. and Spain.
