According to Maxiquim (Porto Alegre, Brazil), a consultancy contracted by the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO, São Paulo, Brazil), the Brazilian composite sector expects to close 2018 with a turnover of US$ 685 million, a high of 3.8% compared to the previous year. It is estimated that the consumption of raw materials in the period reaches 202 thousand tons, a volume 3.1% higher than that recorded in 2017.

According to ALMACO, the transportation industries, especially the agricultural vehicle assemblers, and the infrastructure, with a focus on the expansion of electric grids, contributed to most of the demand.
