Extrusion equipment specialist (Shoreham-By-Sea, U.K.) launches the Infinity Print Belt Conveyor, designed to automate robotic 3D printing. The conveyor offers both print and eject functions, along with continuous 45-degree angle printing, enabling continuous mass production of 3D parts without the need for much manual intervention. The system supports the use of advanced materials such as carbon fiber, Kevlar and specialized thermoplastics. In particular, reinforcement types include finely chopped fiber or even powdered carbon fiber.
In addition to uninterrupted printing, Infinity’s six-section heated bed enables multiple components to be printed simultaneously. Once a print is complete, the roller rotates, efficiently ejecting finished items and preparing the bed for the next production. Very long 3D prints are possible through Infinity’s use of a robotic arm that operates at a 45-degree angle; the conveyor belt progresses according to predetermined settings, limited solely by the available workspace.
Constructed with durability and precision in mind, the 1.5 × 1-m roller conveyor features an aluminum subframe and a 5-mm steel support bed. The system incorporates six independently mounted 750-W heater panels to ensure consistent heating, while a high-torque stepper motor powers the roller. Integration with the robot’s control panel is achieved through Ethernet/IP connectivity.
