Here at ÂÌñÏׯÞ, we host many webinars per year with industry leaders and companies alike, presenting ideas and topics that capture the essence of the industry: always learning and always adapting. With CW, the webinar topics range from structural adhesives to automated fiber placement (AFP) to thermoplastics to composites repair, and much more.

This year, our parent company, ÂÌñÏׯÞ, collected a list of the top ten webinars of 2019. With a variety of topics that span across the focus of our sister publications, there may be something new to learn that could be applied to the composites space — for example additive manufacturing with composites has seen a great deal of growth in recent years. Check out which ones from CW made the list below:

    • There are many different types of joining methods for multi-material assemblies, which include: mechanical fastening, fusion or sonic welding, and structural adhesive bonding.
    • Presented by 3M with ÂÌñÏׯÞ
    • Additive simulation can help determine when additive strategies are likely to fail or when it may be beneficial to make a milling cut, and can allow engineers to test that the machine has the capabilities needed to create parts as designed.
    • Presented by CGTech with Additive Manufacturing
    • Aircraft manufacturers are putting pressure on the OEMs to deliver systems that will yield much more utilization – most impactful on availability are inspection times, reliability of process and quality of layup, and lack of visibility for management.
    • Presented by Electroimpact with ÂÌñÏׯÞ
    • There’s a lot of buzz around Metal Additive Manufacturing these days – especially when it comes to using binder jetting technology for production-volume 3D printing.
    • Presented by The ExOne Company with AutoBeat (formerly Automotive Design & Production)
    • One of the things that makes graphene so interesting is that it offers multiple benefits, including potential improvements in strength, electrical conductivity, heat transfer, EMI shielding, and others.
    • Presented by The Graphene Council with ÂÌñÏׯÞ
    • Manufacturing trends, including lean methodology, have changed our traditional method of processing parts. How do you design a paint system that is flexible and will handle the uncertainty of the future?
    • Presented by IntelliFinishing with Products Finishing
    • In-line and near-line measurement provides the potential for fast, flexible, efficient inspection that increases throughput without compromising quality.
    • Presented by Mitutoyo America Corporation with Modern Machine Shop
    • Insights to adapt or improve upon talent development approach with a focus on the following: becoming an employer of choice, developing a strong foundation, and retaining talent.
    • Presented by Westminster Tool with MoldMaking Technology
    • With 6-axis and collaborative robots making a bigger push into the molding world, what considerations should be made when looking to automate your molding applications?
    • Presented by Wittmann Battenfeld with Plastics Technology
    • Description, review of properties, and opportunities for the unique properties of carbonized products.
    • Presented by Zoltek with ÂÌñÏׯÞ

These 10 webinars represent only some of the topics covered each year. A list of upcoming webinars and an archive of past webinars can be found here.
